The Birth of Experiential Dream Work Course in Taiwan

本文記述全世界第一個將「經驗式賞夢」團體（又稱夢賞讀團體Dream Appreciation Group）設置為醫科大學通識教育課程的由來，並反映「夢賞讀」團體歷程中的特色及挑戰，以作為日後此專業在華人地區深化發展的參考。

1. On February 20, 2004, we started the first ever Experiential Dream Work Course in National Yang Ming University, Taiwan. Dr. William Stimson led the course, with the assistance of Dr. Su Yuan Wang. It is also the very first Experiential Dream Work Course in the World. Experiential Dream Work was developed by Dr. Montague Ullman, emphasizing group work on appreciating dream. 2. In this article, the story about the birth of this course, which comes through a winding way, was recorded. The author, as a psychology teacher in Yang Ming and a member in 14 dream appreciation sessions, also wrote down and re-present the key concepts about the methods and the challenges in group dynamics. 3. The vision of further advancement for Experiential Dream Work and its integration with all the classical and alterative therapies are pictured here in Yang Ming, which dwelled on the top of Mountain Kirigan, the Mother of Taipei City. Hopefully, Taiwan will become one of the Experiential Dream Work centers for the great Chinese and Asian community.
