I read more than two thousand pages of information and found that the operating standards and procedures as well as quality management mechanisms of CTi News are adequate, but their actual implementation is very poor. CTi News does not do a good job of fact checking, so it often breaks the law. More penalties have been imposed by NCC on CTi News both in terms of frequency and amount, than on all the other TV stations. CTi News even erred in their own news reports. I conclude therefore, that CTi News does not uphold the minimum standard of professional ethics required in journalism. NCC decided not to allow CTi News to renew its license. CTi News retaliated by targeting me for attack. It slander my suggestion is to imitate the CCP media, falsely claiming that the Reporters Without Borders (RSF) statement I quoted has been recalled by the headquarters, calling me ＂very blind＂ and asking me to apologize. I did not expect to experience personally such unprofessional and undisciplined conduct on behalf of CTi News. |
