The Dilemma of Image: The Political Economy Criticism of Body Image

Behind the popularity of body image, there are profound political, economic and cultural reasons, which capture people in body image. Body image is the inevitable result of body turn of history of thought, art and communication, driven by the body economy, embodies the revival of the body and the anchoring of the political boundary, shapes a variety of cultural landscapes, and brings multiple cultural paradoxes. We should go back to Karl Marx, correctly guide the body concept and establish critical body image studies.
