This research reconstructs the context in which the Singers-Songriters' Cultural Movement took place across various campuses in Taiwan during 1970s. To that end, it examines the influences on culture in general that stem from the imposition of martial law imposed by KMT, the ruling party, and from the American military-industrial deployments in Taiwan during the same period. Drawing on historical documents and first-hand knowledge regarding the Singers-Sonwriters' Movement, this research lays the foundation for future exploration into and understanding of this Movement and beyond. |
