Purpose: To explore the effects of symptoms, stigmatization perception, volition and quality of life in patients with mental disorders after participating in soccer exercise groups. Methods: A total of 136 chronic psychiatric patients (66 in the experimental group and 70 in the control group), all patients aged 20 years and with an MMSE-T score 22. There are 7 soccer exercise groups, each with about 8-10 people, and the intervention training plan is once a week, 120 minutes each time, for 6 months. Both groups completed questionnaires (Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, BPRS; Volitional Questionnaire, VQ; Perceived Psychiatric Stigma Scale, PPSS; World Health Organization quality of life-Bref, WHOQOL-BREF) before and after soccer exercise groups intervention. Results: According to the results of One-Way Repeated Measurement ANOVA, The patients in the experimental group had significant improvements in anxiety and depressive symptoms and volitional function after soccer exercise groups intervention. Conclusions: Soccer exercise groups can be used as a type of rehabilitation activity to help patients return to their community. |
