Resistance of Involuntary Client in Group–The Observation on a Mandated Therapeutic Group for the Sexual Offenders

The purpose of this study is to observeresistance behaviors of understanding about involuntary clients in the group. This study observed 5 involuntary clients who commit sexual assault cases in field research method. The results indicate that there are 11 resistance behaviors of sex offenders in the group, including irrelevance, silence, rationalization, humor, not self-disclosure, character resistance, emotions from outsides of the group, interrupt others' speaking, attack other members' sex criminal behavior, questions about leaders and questions about systems. This research invite suggestions of practice, of policies, and of researches according to the result from the end of it, and expect to benefit for social workers to face circumstance of sex criminals.
