As air pollution worsens, its impact on health and the environment becomes increasingly significant. Understanding college students' perceptions of air quality and their intention to purchase air purifiers is particularly important. This study explores the perceptions of air quality, environmental awareness, and their impact on purchase intentions among college students in different regions of Taiwan. Through a questionnaire survey conducted in the northern, central, and southern regions, 300 valid responses were collected and statistically analyzed using SPSS software, including reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results show that the higher college students' perception of air quality, the stronger their intention to purchase air purifiers. Students with higher environmental awareness are more likely to buy air purifiers. There are significant differences in air quality perception and purchase intentions among students in different regions, with students in the northern region having higher perceptions and intentions than those in the central and southern regions. Moreover, college students' perception of air quality and environmental awareness have a significant positive impact on their intention to purchase air purifiers, especially in areas with severe air pollution, where students have a higher willingness to buy products that improve air quality. It is recommended that governments and educational institutions strengthen environmental education to enhance students' perceptions of air quality and environmental awareness. Additionally, manufacturers are advised to target the college student demographic with more attractive products and pricing strategies to boost purchase intentions. |
