After Wei Shih, a female writer of North America, was converted to Christianity in 1999, her lifestyle changed significantly. She transformed her pursuit of the study of individual life and reflection on religion to topics of literature and proposed the idea of spiritual literature to present the writer’s inner spirituality and perspective of religion. This study explores the novels of Wei Shih, Aristocratic Family and Their Female Members, Exile from Eden, and White Champak Behind the Red Wall, as well as an independent single story,“Solar Eclipse‧Blowing Wind,"by analyzing the common motifs of the works and the inherent references to core values of Christianity to fulfill the characteristics of spiritual literature. |
