Wasted materials are the major industrial problem throughout the history. It is an open ended cycle obtain to stop this habitual problem. Whereas design is indistinctive and creative, the impression of neo-industrial style design in architecture and product are increasing in favor. To attempt the problem solving on decreasing municipal waste such as plastic, as designer, utilizing eco-friendly material from recycled plastic is one of the creative process. Only certain plastic material can be recycled to meet the same purpose and function as the material substitution. This paper will describe the types of plastic wastes that can be use as the eco-friendly material. Continuously reforming the recycled plastic material into eco-friendly material that can be use as the substitution for structural design likewise the coloumn, stairs, or wall panel. The purpose of this application project is to reduce the impact of plastic waste on the environment by applying recycled plastic as a substitute material both for structure and non-structure in the design field. Through a conceptual approach to industrial style design, we propose 3 types of ideas that can reflect the characteristics of building in industrial style including the impact on the environment and user comfort. All of the designs are using the contemporary design themes for more natural yet modern design to it. And we are looking forward to completing the product prototypes for follow-up evaluation. |
