This research aimed to develop a test kit for determining the amount of residual paraquat content by using glucose as a reducing agent. The quantity of paraquat was analyzed by color change and examined by using the developed measuring device. From the experiment, it was found that glucose could reduce paraquat and give the blue substance with a maximum absorption wavelength of 610 nm. The light absorbance varied with the concentration of paraquat. When developing the paraquat measuring device with a red LED as a light source, it was found that the potential difference measured by LDR also varied with the concentration of paraquat. The developed test kit was used to detect paraquat from Chinese kale, basil, red chili and Chinese cabbage that had been immersed in distilled water, nanobubble water, and nanobubble water with plasma. It was found that the paraquat content in distilled water was greater than nanobubble water and nanobubble water with plasma. |
