This study aims to utilize ChatGPT in the General Education course 'Buddhist Biography and Life Narratives' to facilitate project-based learning (PBL) in D animation scriptwriting and verify the learning outcomes of students in PBL. This study adopts a single-group pretestposttest design and targets students enrolled in the course. The experimental treatment involves a semester-long D animation project-based learning approach that incorporates ChatGPT assistance for script creation. Theself-efficacy scale and the value of learning scale from ''Nanhua University Students' Learning Effect Inventory'' were used as pretest and posttest measures, supplemented with in-depth interviews. The research findings revealed two key results. Firstly, enrolled students who participated in this innovative teaching approach showed significantly higher posttest scores in terms of learning value and self-efficacy compared to their pretest scores. Secondly, the utilization of ChatGPT's ''PPVIO'' for assisting in animation script creation was found to help students produce superior outcomes. |
