This book traces the development of TV industry in Taiwan from the establishment of the first television station in 1962 to the present day. It covers three parts: sixty years of TV broadcasting, program production, and transformation and competition. Each part analyzes the evolution of Taiwanese television programs from virous perspectives and examines the challenges faced in different eras. While each chapter stands alone, the book reveals how TV program production and content have been continuously influenced by both political and economic factors throughout history.
