Wang Dingjun and Master Xingyun are writers who preach by literature, except that one is Christian and one believes in Buddhism. One is a master of literature in the United States, and one is the leader in promoting human Buddhism in Taiwan. Although the chances for them to meet is rare, but the light they put on each other during the rendezvous illuminates Wang Dingjun's heart to invoke Buddhism and strengthen his creative performance. Wang's speech expressed a prose master's high praise and admiration.
Wang Dingjun experienced great hardship in life, while Master Xingyun managed ideal state by painstaking efforts, two people have mixed literature and religion to realize ''human Buddhism'' and ''human literature.'' The difference is that Master Xingyun opened up the vision of Human Buddhism with literature, whereas Wang Dingjun developed the vision of his literature with Human Buddhism.
Wang Dingjun, in addition to his faith in the Lord, opened his mind to understand Buddhism, presenting in his works the aesthetic realm of the intermingling of literature and religion. In Wang Dingjun's works, there is no shortage of using Buddhism as reference, the affirmation of Human Buddhism, and the admiration of the Master Xingyun, which requires researchers to take seemingly scattered fragments through induction and analysis, in order to see his ideology of ''literary ideal religious conversion''.
Based on the above descriptions, this paper mainly analyzes the influence of Master Xingyun and Human Buddhism on the formation of Wang Dingjun literary view from Wang Dingjun's works. Readers can witness the sanctity of life from the rendezvous between a Master of literature and a Master of religion, who have set up an operating platform for people's mutual understanding between different religious cultures. At the same time, it can also be seen that the interaction between cultures not only promotes the activity of thought, but also impacts their creation. |
