The study starts by addressing the current educational inequality in schools and emphasizes the importance of equity-centered leadership. It then reviews the literature on equity-centered principal leadership training, summarizing five key capabilities: (1) Awareness of beliefs and biases; (2) Equitable leadership skills; (3) Creating an inclusive environment; (4) Support for cultural responsiveness; (5) Courage and confidence. It provides local and international examples of principal training programs centered on equity, comparing their differences. The study reveals that equity-centered leadership preparation involves these five capabilities, and an ideal training program systematically outlines stages, reflective, and adaptive support in structured courses to ensure principals can enhance learning outcomes for all students. Based on these findings, suggestions are provided for educational authorities. |
