This study attempts to investigate the Mucorales in Taiwan especially those members of the order that are most commonly encountered and the most economically important to human welfare. Part T is devoted to isolation and identification of mucoraceous fungi obtained mainly from Taiwan soil, air or otherwise. 15 species have been recognized and 13 of them such as Mucor abundans, M. fragilis. M, kiemalis, M. mucedo, M. racemosus, M. subtilissimus, M. sp., Circinella rigida, Cunninghamella echinulata, C. elegans. Helicostylum piriforme, Pilobolus kleinii, Rhizopus nigricans were reported as new to the fungal flora of Taiwan. |
