Eight taxa of Plagiogyria are reported from Taiwan. P. koidzumii is reported for the first time. Two species are reduced to varietal status, P. formosana to P. glauca var. philippinensis, and P. grandis to P. evphlebia var. grandis. P. japonica is not found in any of our herbaria but it is included since Nakaike reports it (1971:261). The following topics are briefly discussed: dwarf species, intermediate forms, mutants and stipe anatomy. |
