For the sanitation and safety of meals served in audiovisual and singing venues, TFDA inspected 160 stores including chain KTV, non-chain KTV, and karaoke stores in 2021-2022. The results showed the major non-compliances were associated to GHP regulations that including mislabeling on the country of origin of beef or pork materials (2 businesses found) and storing expired food (1 case). Among the non-complied items of GHP implementation, the higher violate rates were found as issues related to improper carrying out medical examinations of food personnel, ineffective actions on preventing cross-contamination, mislabeling on the product name, and expiry date on packaged products. The noncompliant items and the violators were required to pass the follow-up reinspection within a time limit and reported to health authorities. According to the sanitation standard legally regulated at the time of inspection, the passing rate of the inspection was found increased from 94% in 2021 to 99.2% in 2022. Inspection results were provided to the competent authorities as a reference for food safety management in audiovisual and singing venues. |
