The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of integrating board games into financial education curriculum on the learning of financial concepts among the sixth grade elementary school students. The research method adopted the case study and eight participated students were from the north of Taiwan. The research process adopts the teaching activities designed by the researchers, including six topics: consumer behavior, money and currency, investment and wealth management, credit and lending, insurance and risk management, and savings and financial institutions. After the course, analyze the teaching live video, study sheet, teaching observation log, interview, feedback form, and financial education questionnaire. The main results of this study are as follows: (1) Applying board games into the financial education courses can help students build financial literacy and enhance their international perspective; (2) After participating in the financial education course, all the feedbacks from children are positive; (3) Board games can achieve the effect of entertaining and learning, and improve students' problem-solving ability. Finally, it suggested as follows: (1) Teachers could design the teaching material to meet the age and interest of students, choose appropriate board games to integrate into financial education, keep pace with the times and improve themselves financial literacy, and cooperate in the development of financial teaching materials across fields; (2) Parents could give their children appropriate pocket money to learn about financial management, educate their children at any time, and discuss financial issues with their children. |
