A large number of news has exposed the issue of doctoral unemployment. International economic organizations have also raised warnings about youth unemployment. Under the background of the cultivation, retaining and international recruitment of doctoral talents, this study focus on the new doctorate holders in the education field. The new doctorate holders are relatively disadvantaged in the domestic labor market while they are applying for the teaching jobs at the higher education level. This study aims to understand the real situation of the supply and demand of human resources in the labor market. Therefore, this study uses the data obtained from NPHRST and the statistics of the Ministry of Education to analyze the supply and demand of the labor market. It leads to the conclusion that there is an imbalance between supply and demand in the labor market and the gap between supply and demand may continue to expand. Furthermore, education-job mismatch could be observed in the labor market obviously. |
