The resumption rate of dropout students in elementary schools and junior high schools has significant result by our government’s effort. The overall resumption rate is even more than 85 percent. However, there is still room for efforts to reach the goal of ''zero dropout''. Therefore, this study discusses the development of the law and its promotion over the years, and through an interview with a school social worker in New Taipei City to investigate the gap between the law and the actual promotion. It was found that: Relevant personnel must be more enthusiastic and positive in notifying dropouts to administration by law ; family incapacity causes dropouts, need to have more appropriate regulation and assistance; recovery counseling strategies need to be more flexible, appropriate and diversified; supervision and evaluation need to be substantive and shareable; The principle of handling dropout work has to be adjustable accordingly to deal with different situations. Hence, this will make the result more extraordinary. |
