In this study, item analysis of "Specific Subject (1)" of Home Economics Group in the 2017 and 2019 Technological Vocational Education (TVE) Joint College Entrance Examinations was performed. These results were analyzed by quantitative measurements and were also interpreted from a qualitative view. The analysis results showed that the item average difficulty and average discrimination are respectively ranging from 0.56 to 0.64 and from 0.36 to 0.38, which indicating a moderate difficulty level with good discrimination. The following conclusions and reminders for test takers can be drawn from the results of item analysis on the examination questions with correct answer fill rate lower than 0.4: (1) The test taker should be familiar with the related laws and regulations and pay attention to their renewed versions. (2) Recitation and a fully understanding of all professional terms is required and inevitable. (3) For enhancing the correct answer fill rate, it is suggested that the test takers should know how to combine the fundamental knowledge with their life experiences and realize how to apply the knowledge flexibly. (4) The number of situational and integrated questions in TVE joint College Entrance Examinations will be increased in the future. |
