行政院宣布，將在今年年中召開「台灣經濟永續成長會議」，針對長期性、結構性、爭議性經濟施政課題，諮詢各界意見，以期聯結目前施政方針與未來走向。行政院蘇院長已從3月上旬起逐一聽取各議題籌備進度報告，顯示對於這項會議的高度重視。

The Executive Yuan (Cabinet) has announced that it will convene a conference in the middle of this year to solicit opinions from different sectors on long-term, structural, and controversial issues in economic administration. It is hoped that the conclusions to be reached at the conference will help to link current administrative directions with future trends. Premier Su Tseng-chang has already been listening to reports on the progress of preparation for the different topics, an indication of the high importance which the government is placing on the upcoming conference.
