英文摘要 |
This study aims to explore the impact of social media use on well-being by seniors. The subjects of the research are the citizens of the Senior University in Southern Taiwan. A total of 346 valid questionnaires were obtained. The relationship among four latent variables, including social support, bridging social capital, bonding social capital, and well-being, was analyzed through the structural equation modeling approach. The results show that social support has a significant impact on bridging social capital, bonding social capital and well-being. In mediation analysis, bonding social capital plays a mediation role between social support and well-being, but bridging social capital does not hold this relationship. The reason for this result may be that the relationship between peers and work colleagues is weakened because the seniors are out of the workplace. Therefore, the role of bonding social capital (such as kinship) should be strengthened in promoting the well-being of the seniors in the future. |
