Chinese society places great importance on the education and learning of their children. Excellent academic performance not only showcases the parents' dedication to their children's education, making them proud, but also adds to the children's future development. The preschool education process has a significant impact on subsequent formal education and related learning development. Applying unplugged programming courses can stimulate the logical thinking and learning interests of preschool children before the age of 5, which is crucial for cultivating learning attitudes and achievements in the future. The purpose of this study is to explore the acceptance of unplugged programming courses by kindergarten parents by adding conformity and comparison psychology as subjective norms to the TPB framework, along with attitude and perceived behavioral control as independent variables. The study aims to understand the factors influencing parents' acceptance of the curriculum. The study used an online questionnaire survey to collect data from 298 valid samples of parents with children attending kindergarten and relevant community media groups from November 30th to December 30th, 2021. The descriptive statistical analysis of the sample was conducted using SPSS22.0 software, and Smart PLS 3 statistical software was used to validate the hypotheses through SEM convergence validity, discriminant validity, fit, and path analysis. The results of the study showed that the attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control factors of the TPB had a significant impact on parents' acceptance. Conformity and comparison psychology had a significant impact on subjective norms. Based on the research findings, suggestions were made for promoting unplugged programming courses in practical aspects and future development. |
