With the severe epidemic of COVID-19 in 2021, public libraries in various countries suspended physical services and turn to digital services. Through online technology, the original functions of libraries to disseminate information and gather knowledge are maintained. Kaohsiung Public Library use social media to conduct a number of online outreach activities for different ages and audiences under the level 3 epidemic alert closure. In order to investigate readers´ preferences and satisfaction with on-line outreach services, a questionnaire survey was conducted in 2021. The outcomes of participation experience, online service habits and interests will serve as a reference for public libraries to plan on-line outreach activities in the future. |
