Practitioners plan a reliability life test program so that, after a certain time limit or number of failures, all other testing units will be terminated. These terminated times are considered as right-censored data. The conditional expected value control chart (CEV chart) was created to monitor the right-censored data. In real reliability testing, the testing units were removed at the time of occurring different failure modes and will be recorded as multiple censored data. This study designed the CEV chart and measured its performance in the control of multiple censored data. A multi-objective model was used to optimize this chart. This study also found this chart can signal the process shifts for the moderately and lowly censored data. For the highly censored data, the increase of the sample size can increase the detecting ability of this chart. |
