In this paper, we report a practice result of a new interdisciplinary general education course, Diversify Rice Industry in Guishan District - Sake Brewing. It covers agriculture, chemistry, microbial fermentation process, and product design. It was proofed as a University Social Responsibility course, since the students are required not only to take theory and practice lessons on campus, but also to survey and practice these knowledges in the field area, Guishan district. We also report the feedback and reflection from students and teachers, which give a guide for further improvement of this course and provide a reference to teachers who are interested in opening a similar course. |
