Recently, there has been considerable interest in the use of web con-cordancer for L2 writing. Although the use of concordancer might be beneficial for learners’writing process, learners’perceptions and attitudes toward concordancer use can influence the effectiveness of concordance feedbacks on error revisions. The purpose of this study was to investigate EFL advanced learners’perceptions and attitudes toward concordance feedback for writing revision and underlying reasons that influence learners’attitudes. The interview was administered to 5 participants studying in Master’s level of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The results of this study showed that advanced learners perceived concor-dancer use is beneficial for writing error revisions. However, some weak-nesses and difficulties of the concordancer search for writing error revisions were indicated. Moreover, the results of the interview also indicated that advanced learners had slightly negative attitude toward concordance feedback for error revisions. L2 writing teachers can contemplate learners’perception, adjust the weakness of concordance use and instruct the skills of the concordancer use to achieve the greatest effectiveness of con-cordance feedback for writing revisions. |
