The Japanese language system is based on 3 main categories. the logographic Kanji, syllabic Kana and Roman alphabet and so on. In learning Japanese, these categories are all important for the learners whether he/she has Kanji backgrounds or not. To confirm the situation of teaching Kanji from Kanji backgrounds, this study collected papers related to teaching Kanji and published from 2000 to 2021, then through AI text mining techniques to analyze the abstract of these research. The result is as follows: 1. Most research subjects are students from overseas, and regardless of nationality. 2. Nowadays, teaching Kanji also combined with concepts like Active Learning or Gamification to do the new teaching Kanji. 3. Not only the figure of Kanji but also the sound has been noticed. 4. In terms of Kanji textbooks, the teaching is assisted by the generality of Kanji characters and the 'joyokanji list'. |
