During the 20 years since China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), China has transformed from the world factory to the world market, and has become an indispensable role in the global supply chain. However, the high level and standard of CPTPP, China must continue to strengthen in the aspects of state-owned enterprises, Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS), and environmental sustainability. In addition, the growth rate of the global digital economy reached 3.0% in 2020, accounting for about 43.7% of global GDP. China also released the "Plan for Development of the Digital Economy During the '14th Five-Year' Period" in 2022 to promote the development of the digital economy with three major policies: strengthening the innovative application of key digital technologies, promoting digital industrialization, and promoting industrial digital transformation. However, China is also trying to issue a digital currency in 2020, but capital controls, legal systems, and privacy protection will affect the trust for foreigners. Therefore, it is not easy for China to shake the US dollar's status in international finance. |
