With the trend of internationalization and globalization, European society is increasingly diverse and complex in terms of race and culture. At the same time, however, it also brings social tensions and turmoil such as structural inequality, exclusion, and alienation. Although Europe has long been concerned about the issue of immigrants and the education of immigrants’ children, due to the new wave of immigrants in recent years and the inconsistency in the handling of these new residents in European countries, various social and cultural conflicts continue to emerge. This also reminds Europe of the importance of this issues. This article explains the immigration and education issues that European society has faced in recent years, and discusses the response of European Union to the social and cultural conflicts of immigrants, hoping to propose education initiatives to promote respect and tolerance, and explain its significant to respect education. |
