In 2021, the popular election of the 16th Central Tibetan Administration Kashag’s fifth-term Sikyong and the 17th Tibetan Parliament in Exile 45-seat general election were held in Tibet in exile. The purpose of this article is to observe and assess the impact of the new Tibetan government-in-exile, the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan Parliament in Exile on the relationship among Tibet in exile and the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of China. It was found that the new Tibetan government in exile will still adhere to the Middle-of-the-Road Line, but the Tibet-China Peace Talks Strategy Planning Group will be led by Sikyong to make more direct and flexible political initiatives on Tibet-China relations. |
