In response to the decrease in domestic students, recruiting overseas students from abroad has become an important strategy for the development of colleges and universities. Overseas students are divided into foreign students, overseas Chinese students (including Hong Kong and Macao), and mainland China students. The program of industry-academic collaboration is a tripartite cooperation between vocational high school, university, and enterprise. After graduating from vocational high school, overseas Chinese students can advance to the universities of their relevant study fields, apply for the other universities they are interested in, or return to their own native residences. It is more diversified for their future development. The purpose of this paper is to explore the source of pressure for overseas Chinese students in the program of industryacademic collaboration. The research objects are the third-year overseas students in industry-academic collaboration program and counselors of the university of science and technology in northern Taiwan. The research method adopts the analytical hierarchy process . The results of the paper show that in the main criterion level, the pressure of internship is the main source of stress for overseas Chinese students, and the top three items of the sub-criteria level are the inability to return to their residence due to the COVID-19 epidemic, internship salary and benefits, and internship workplace communication. The results will be used as a reference for the tutoring of overseas Chinese student in the program of industryacademic collaboration. |
