"The method of this paper depends in historical value and authenticity, looking how Hamata Hayao using literature strategy to show readers about the times of immigration and the agricultural economy, discussion the possibility of Reportage. The historical novel 'NANPOU IMINSON' written by Hayao Hamada , who was one of the active writers in Taiwan before World War II. Hamada using fiction narrative to write the people from Japan to Taiwan, just expect for a better life. He also concentrates on the description for these Japanese immigrants in Luh-Yeh Village, Taiton. 'NANPOU IMINSON' reflects the profound immigrant problems through an omniscient viewpoint, it might not fit in Taiwanese Reportage, but according to the findings, those strategies and skills Hayao Hamada had used are identical to the new Journalism, which might be a new boundary of the Taiwan Reportage Text. In sum, this paper will re-survey the 'NANPOU IMINSON' by the New Journalism reportage conventions; shed the lights on the ideal and real." |
