"This study focuses on the theory of place-based education (PBE) and uses community day reading mobile phone photography competition as a teaching strategy. It mainly discusses the following two issues. First, the changes in students' sense of place after community action learning. And second, the overall impression of the community in the works in the student activities, as a reference for future course adjustments. Some research methods are used in this study. First, I used''the Sense of Place Questionnaire''to conduct descriptive statistical analysis and paired sample-tests to understand the changes of the students' sense of place before and after learning. Second, I used the content analysis method to analyze the content of the competition works. The research found that: 1. The sense of place of students has improved before and after community day activities. However, one important learning activity must be combined with other curriculum content to make students' sense of place more significantly improved. 2. The main identification of military school students with the community is centered on the connection of''cultural resources-community''. The study concludes that community learning activity is an effective strategy for enhancing the sense of place and community citizenship of military academies. It can also strengthen the''school''-''community''link, identify community problems and respond to needs. This not only applies for military academies. It also has positive influence on implementing the social university social responsibilities (USR)." |
