"The family-centered service model can help children’s participation and family empowerment. It is an important trend and issue of early intervention services in Taiwan. This paper reviewed 2011-2021 articles which focused on the implementation of family-centered early intervention services. Through the analysis of review, we provide practical suggestions for early intervention professionals in the field. Three main findings of these studies were obtained: (a) the effectiveness of implementing family-centered practices include three aspects, such as children, family, and professionals, (b) professionals in different areas encountered different and common challenges that need to be solved, and (c) through understanding the challenges, it would help professionals from different fields work together and interact for promoting the effectiveness of family-centered early intervention services. To investigate the outcomes of early intervention in Taiwan, future research suggests that effectiveness of implementation can be evaluated through reviewing social and political research and linking professionals from different fields." |
