"In recent years, the use of drones has increased substantially in commercial and law enforcement applications, by commercial, governmental and private parties. This increase in drone usage dictates that regulations for both drone use and the protection of privacy issues that may arise be addressed. This article will articulate the functions, drone technologies, and drone usage. Then will come an analysis of U.S. Supreme Court cases dealing with law enforcement aerial surveillance and its constitutionality, followed by North Dakota State law regulating drone use in investigations. We will close with a summary of the prospective norms surrounding the drones usage in law enforcement." |
