"Taiwan joined the World Trade Organization in 2002 and began to import large motorcycles of 250 c.c. or above. According to the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in 2012, the numbers of consumers in purchasing large motorcycles increased sharply. The number continued to grow in the following few years at the rate of 10,000 to 20,000 per year. Major findings include: 1) lifestyle and motivation have a significant and positive effect on involvement; 2) motivation and involvement have a positive effect on the benefits of leisure activities; and 3) lifestyle makes no difference on motivation to participate. These results not only fill the gap in literature but also contribute to the marketing strategies of the industries associated with large motorcycles." |
