試論台語電視連續劇語言混雜現象──以《風水世家》為考察對象

Language Mixing in Taiwanese Television Dramas: Using Feng Shui Family as an Example

本文透過台語八點檔電視連續劇《風水世家》所呈現的語言混雜現象，從中探究其現象形成的原因，以窺豹當前台灣以「雙語社會」為主流的語言發展中，台語使用的情況與語言的變異現象，藉此對於本土語言的推展與現況提出針貶與獨見，進而探討電視媒體對於本土語言的傳布功能。本文認為，台語雖然未獲非官方語言的語言地位，卻也因此不受官方教育體系及書寫規範的約束，其語言的使用反而獲得自由與彈性的空間，亦即語言的永續發展有賴新事物、新概念的不斷引入。普及深入全民家戶的台語電視連續劇正是新生語詞之創造、實驗、發展、傳布的種苗場，而有助於提升其語言表述能力的豐富，促進其與時俱進的生命力，並豐富語言的活力。

This study discussed the origins of language mixing by investigating Feng Shui Family, a prime time Taiwanese television drama. Through the drama, this study explored how the Taiwanese Mandarin dialect has been used and changed over time in Taiwan, where two Mandarin dialects currently dominate: Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Mandarin. Furthermore, by proposing critical comments on and suggestions for the development and current usage of these local dialects, this study discussed how these local dialects have spread and developed through television media. This study showed that Taiwanese Mandarin is not restricted by the official education system and writing rules, since it has not become an official dialect in Taiwan. Therefore, Taiwanese Mandarin is used with more freedom and flexibility. In addition, by contributing to the vitality of local languages and dialects, Taiwanese television drama has created, experimented with, developed, and spread new usages of language or dialect in Taiwan.
