周旋於國、共之間：青年黨左舜生在民國35年時的政治動向析探

民國35年是中國政治史上極具關鍵性的一年，這一年先有「政治協商會議」的揭幕，後有「制憲國民大會」的召開。這兩項關係國家長治久安的政治工程，無庸置疑，國、共兩黨是決定戰後中國命運亟鉅的這兩項重大政治工程的設計者及架構者，但對於當時位居「第三勢力」的中國青年黨，吾人仍不可輕忽。青年黨在這兩項政治工程中所持之態度，始則與朝野黨派共同參與「政治協商會議」，研商戰後中國政治發展的佈局；終則「捨共取國」與國民黨及政府共體時艱，參與「制憲國大」，順利完成《中華民國憲法》的制定，使我國正式邁入民主憲政國家之列。唯在「制憲國大」召開之前，因國、共兩黨互信基礎薄弱，雙方機關算盡各不相讓，不僅中共杯葛拒絕參加國大，內戰且有一觸即有之勢。在人心望治，國內外殷切期盼和平之際，期間以中國青年黨為首的「第三方面」人士，亦站在國家人民的立場，在「制憲國大」召開前，與中共展開冗長的諮商討論。這當中，青年黨領袖左舜生先生，以其在「民盟」中曾擔任秘書長的職務，親身參與和中共代表的周旋，其政治動向更為各方所矚目。本文之作，即詳細勾繪左先生在民國35年間，積極穿梭奔走於國、共之間的動態。一則可藉此知道先生的政治立場及觀念；再則亦可從中洞察彼時之政治背景和現象。更重要的是，吾人或可由先生以「第三方面」人士的角度切入，對國、共雙方各持其是的這一段史實，提供另一個較客觀公正的視野和平實的佐證，我想這是頗富歷史意義的。
