There is a close relationship between information and crisis management. Correct information is exceedingly crucial for keeping everything under complete control in a dynamic environment. By gathering complete and correct information in advance, leaders of corporations and organizations can take the necessary precautions to avoid the crisis. On the contrary, if leaders ignore the information or collect the wrong information, this will lead to a complete misunderstanding of the situation, or even a crisis storm. Therefore, crisis management has become the highlight in individual, corporate, and governmental management. Crisis management, however, is also closely related to leaders' cognition in additional to information, This involves a scientific decision-making system which encompasses an ongoing process of input, analysis, output, feedback, and correction. This study is to explore the role and importance of information in crisis management from the perspective of decision-making theory. |
