In part, the becoming of industrial heritage was founded on the historicalsocial context of modernity and technological rationality. Therefore, industrial heritage was not a naturalized product, but concerning the production of space. In the sense, industrial heritage meant a transformation that is from production space to the production of space itself, came from growth of production itself and direct intervention of knowledge in matter production. Confronting industrial heritage--heterotopias--that was constituted by mix and coexistence of multi-cultures, the article thinks the spatiality of industrial heritage concerns how industrial heritage carried spatial modernity, and how continued meaningful image of post- modernity about historical space. It would make the space replacement of industrial heritage concerning preservation be that how to present and represent a diachronic space narrative with a synchronicity method. |
