Being the lone ruling party during authoritarian era in Taiwan, Kuomintang (The Nationalist Party of China, KMT) constructed one-party state’s system to enrich itself from National Treasures, thus established the superior position for dictatorial monopoly. This article followed the idea of Fu Zheng by reviewing the State-aid KMT Budget phenomena in his Editorial, “National Treasures are not KMT owned” from the perspective of liberty, human rights and democracy. By examining cases mentioned in the Editorial, this article clarified the relationship between KMT budget and the National Treasures, reconfirmed historical facts and revisited case studies. The evidences not only confirmed the state-aid model of one-party state’s system, but also justified the necessity of recovering the ill-gotten party assets, executing Transitional Justice, and ending the authoritarian legacy. |
