本文主要以作者在大學通識課程開授之「歐洲概論」,從授課經驗到《歐洲概論》書籍的出版做一成果分享。「歐洲概論」課程主要以「認識歐洲」為基礎介紹。一學期課程內容有限,除讓學生了解歐洲文化外,進而延伸對於歐洲藝術、歐洲生活與文化、歐洲歷史文化、歐洲統合以及當代時事分析等議題。教學目標在於讓學生修畢此課程後能有所學習,並認識基礎歐洲文化,以及在歐洲在當今世界的角色及地位。瞭解關於歐洲方面的知識,學習歐洲文化中的人文素養,並在諸多因素下建構了「歐洲概論」開課主要動機。由於本課程於各大學開授已十餘年,至少於國內五所大專院校開授「歐洲概論」課程,以及歐洲文化等相關課程。長期下來,從師生互動與課堂報告中也累積不少知識,更加確立了「歐洲概論」授課內容與方向。此外,課程內容更結合了教師多年授課經驗、研究心得、學習經驗與教學成果。而歐洲當代時事分析也隨著國際時事的變化而適時調整,讓課程設計與安排更能掌握學生的主要需求和興趣,以便能更加瞭解各科系學生對課程的喜好。每學期的授課內容皆因學生學科專業背景與相關課堂需求而有微幅調整。本書撰寫目的,是要讓修課學生能在上課中有所「本」,取代手機與網路。並明瞭修課內容與學習方向。本書最大特色是以專的知識為基礎,並以大眾化的書寫方式呈現。搭配圖文並茂的內容,開啟一趟生動的歐洲歷史文化、藝術與知性之旅,並引領學生進入認識歐洲的領域。本文撰述內容主要為教學研究至出版以及教材在課堂中「歐洲概論」課堂與相關學科的使用等主題來做探討。
英文摘要
The main propose of this course is an introduction to Europe. It includes European history, culture, art of painting and architecture. On political studies, The European Union (EU) and European Integration are also important. This course is expected to achieve the goal for students to understand what European culture is at the least. This is the main motivation and purpose of the ''European Introduction'' of this Liberal Studies course. The modern history of the world is nearly five hundred years, Europe has gone through several important progressions of human civilization and progress. From the Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution, the Enlightenment, and the development of imperialism. The eighteenth century Revolution has also had a great impact on European History. The contemporary European history involves European Union (EU) Research. In this series of historical evolution, the progress of human civilization has also had effects around the world. The course combines many subjects from many years of teaching experience into the ''European Introduction''. To sum up, from the changes in the world situation under the influence of globalization issues, European studies also can lead students to understand many aspects of European culture. Using the textbook ''An Introduction to Europe'' in class is a most important reason. This textbook can replace mobile phones to study. The feature of this book is based on specialized knowledge and is presented in popular writing. The many pictures and text content vividly present European history, culture and art. The content presents many subjects of European culture. This textbook, ''An Introduction to Europe'', has combined the author's teaching and research results, and is also an academic achievement.
