Due to chronic anxiety and depression would influence life satisfaction, self-esteem and mental health, a systematic reviewing was conducted to comprehend the life satisfaction status in adults with DCD. Twelve databases, namely PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, SportDiscus, WorldCat, Academic Search Premier, ScienceDirect, Complementary Index, ERIC, National Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations in Taiwan (NDLTD) and Airiti Library, were searched. The following terminologies were used as key words: DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder or Dyspraxia), adult, adults or adulthood, life satisfaction or satisfaction or wellbeing. However, only full articles since 2008 to January, 2020 were acquired for further reviewing. According to 4 qualified literatures, adults with DCD showed higher tendency of depression and anxiety but lower life satisfaction than peers. Thus, further studies need to be carried out to assist DCD individuals to improve their quality of life and well-being. |
