Tracing the underdevelopment of Confucian psychotherapy in China to its historical origin, this article argues that self-exertion and putting oneself in the place of other are core-ideas of pre-Qin Confucianism. Based on my Mandala Model of Self, here in this article I propose a theory of ethical healing with the practices of mindfulness training by integrating Hwang's (2012) Confucian culture-inclusive theories and Eckensberger's (2012) action theory. |
