According to the annual statistics report from Ministry of Education in Taiwan, 12% studentswith disabilities are autism spectrum disorder. Communication deficit is one of the most core deficitsin this population, and the deficit may show in different language domains. Early and effectiveinterventions can enhance their communication ability. However, how to chose the interventionswisely are being discussed. In this study, we briefly review the traditional interventions as well asevidence-based practice in autism communication ability. Suggestions are given to clinicians andeducators. |
