The study aimed to explore the family education needs of hearing-impaired children and compare the differences in the family education needs of parents of students with hearing impairments with different background variables. Taking the parents of hearing-impaired students in southern Fujian as the research object, randomly selected parents of grades 1-6 in a special education school in Xiamen and Quanzhou to conduct a questionnaire survey, a total of 62 questionnaires were distributed, and 55 valid questionnaires were recovered. 88.7%. It was found that the current parents of hearing impaired children had different levels of demand for national policy information, rehabilitation, education, interpersonal communication, and economic information when conducting family education, and the highest demand for national policy information, followed by economic, education, Rehabilitation, interpersonal communication information. They also faced inadequate experience conditions; lack of relevant information and opportunities for communication; and poor communication with children. Accordingly, it was advisable to strengthen legal protection and social service consultation channels, regularly carried out parent exchange meetings, signed language classes, and lectured on parenting issues; provided medical assistance services. |
