Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that involves chronic inflammation of multiple systems. Although RA is not immediately life-threatening, it induces joint and soft-tissue damage. As RA progresses, patients encounter physical, psychological, and social interference; this affects their daily work and quality of life. The primary goal of clinical care is to control disease progression and maintain activities of daily living. High-dose corticosteroid therapy and biological agents are used to control the disease, and sustain the health of patients. However, severe infection caused by suppression of immune function and the possibility of anaphylaxis are precautions that demand attention. This study enhanced the ability to provide optimal service to patients through sharing experiences and treatment strategies to improve their quality of life and disease control. |
