Smart buildings and smart communities have become an inevitable trend. There are many existing smart community buildings in Taiwan. Regardless of whether they have obtained the smart building certification, they are gradually facing hardware and software problems after 3-10 years of construction. This article takes Hsinchu Building A as an example, by first analyzing its problems to be solved and customer demands, adding up the current trend of smart community development as the direction and standards, and then communicating with customers through "slash thinking", and so we conclude "effective" IoT solutions. In addition to recreating the functions of the original smart community and deploying a sustainable smart infrastructure, this solution also introduces innovative business models, aiming to move towards a "sustainable smart residential community". This article also indicates that when execute this plan, both dynamic amendments and cost input should be into consideration. In terms of extended applications, these IoT solutions could apply to all similar smart community cases, and further become standard devices to new construction projects. |
